The gay pride parade yielded no reaction at all from me, which somewhat set the tone for the episode. Of course, there were obvious plot problems. The first act is usually different from the second, but not the second from the third. I got some laughs, mostly from subtle things, but then there were tasteless jokes like Homer muttering "I'm horny." and donkeys popping up out of nowhere. I also doubt that demolition derbys take anyone to drive in them. Grade: C

it followed the general pattern of every new episode this season.. there were hilariously funny bits and sight gags, but when it went off, you felt merely befuddled, shook your head and said, "that was a weird episode."

i am also very disturbed by the sudden need to dip right to the bottom of the sleaze barrel, like Homer muttering "i'm horny" or the stupid soccer mummy bit..

shows that resort to this are invariably grasping, have lost the edge.. there was always a subtle implication of sleaziness, and that's what made it so great.. implied is always better..

and was that Selma or Patty in the gay parade? did anybody else feel as revolted over that ridiculous scene as i did?

these writers are writing to the lowest common denominator now, and this show is headed for cancellation..

The thing about them not letting the mummy get a boner was pretty low brow too. I doubt they let just anyone in derbys either. Also in demolition derbies they usually ram other cars in reverse so as not to risk destroying their own engine and therefore putting them out of commission.
