I saw it today and the theatre was over half full and no one left complaining. The film is being shown twelve times a day at the local moviehouse while the Lohan film is being only shown 8 times. Someone I know saw the film on opening day and totally liked it and said there were huge line ups.

I liked the film but I could have done without seeing the genitalia of Bart, Homer giving middle finger salutes with his new five fingered hand, two homosexual police kissing. Only one ABOMINATION reference in the whole movie and it is around 5 seconds. If you like the Simpsons you will like the movie. PS:Maggie says her first word.

I agree. The genitalia is something I could've done without. Overall, the movie was slightly worse than I expected and turned out like a glorified regular episode. Nothing too special occurred, and not enough time was given to Burns (or any other supporting character). A big problem was that the trailer had a lot of the funny moments in it, which I guess means I shouldn't watch trailers anymore. Still, I enjoyed it, but I think that it's still not as good as the glory days of the Simpsons (seasons 2-7).

No, she sounds like a high-pitched Bart - Nancy Cartwright does Maggie's voice in the film. (Ironic, considering Nancy's daughter Lucy was Maggie's "voice" in an early episode.)

That doesn't make any difference. Even with four fingers it's still obvious which one is the "middle" one.
