Just picked this up tonight from the news stand after a very bad day, and it really picked up my spirits.
The "Aliens" parody was great. "Homererectus" was a good parody of the Vertigo comics style, and pretty dark in tone. The "Lisa In Oz" bit was somewhat hokey and not comedic enough.
The best story by far had to be "Catastrophe In Substitute Springfields!", written by Mark Hamill. Great use of Frink and Comic Book Guy, and the art work was superb, especially a) the obvious tribute to Will Elder in one character's design, and b) that last page. I'm not going to spoil that last page.
Okay, one spoiler: Mrs. Krabapple is a total babe as a real human.....
