The other day i warched the Dog of death episode and I laughed so hard I almost had a stroke. this is definately one of my favourite episodes. This episode is the only reason i'm buying season 3 on dvd. It also has the best Apu line, which is something like:

around the time when they anounce the lottery payoff of $130 million:

Apu: Snap on your bulletproof vest, Sanjay, it's time for another bank run. Sanjay: All right. But if I don't make it, promise you won't sleep with my wife. Apu:I promise nothing.

that line alone, "i promise nothing", brought tears of laughter to my eyes. part of my hapiness in life is owed to the Simpsons. thank you mr. groening!

Dog of Death...

A classic example of an episode you'll think you've seen too much recently, and you suddenly realise you haven't seen it for aaaaggeess. Or is that just me?

Burns: I see you're wearing your running shoes. That's a good thing.

yeah, the episode is full of funny jokes, you just don't stop laughing. like the time when Homer explains Bart about Doggie Heaven,

Homer: I want to tell you about the most wonderful place in the world:
Doggie heaven. In doggie heaven, there are mountains of bones, and
you can't turn around without sniffing another dog's butt!
Bart: Is there a doggie hell?
Homer: Well... Of course, there couldn't be a heaven if there
weren't a hell.
   Bart: Who's in there?
Homer: Oh, uh... Hitler's dog... and that dog Nixon had, what's his
name,
          um, Chester...
   Lisa: [annoyed] Checkers.
Homer: Yeah! One of the Lassies is in there, too. The mean one!
          The one that mauled Jimmy!

here, the way homer says "..the mean one!" had me laughing like crazy for 2 minutes.

this episode is probably the best ever.

They just showed that episode here recently. It's great. I love how the vet throws the dead hamster into the trash, and there's a basketball hoop over it. Burns repeatedly pressing the security button after hearing "I have a dog whose very sick" always cracks me up.

Eight Misbehavin': Apu: "Well perhaps it is time [to have children]. I've noticed this country is dangerously underpopulated." --- Manjula: "Are you sure you want a child, Apu?" Apu: "You know I do. I mean there comes a time in a man's life when he asks himself: 'Who will float my corpse down the Ganges?'" --- Apu: "I apologize, apologize again. As a token of forgiveness please take this baby!" Marge: "Hmmmmm!" Homer: "No, Marge, NOOO!" --- Mr. Kidkill: "You look like you could need some help. Come with me!" Apu: "Ok." Manjula: "But you don't even know who he is!" Apu: "Who cares, it's only one of him." --- :-)

Apu's freaking out about banana bread is great. "Oh good, we have banana bread, our problems are solved."

Mom: How much is this milk? Apu: 14 dollars.

I too am afraid I will have to make a similar thread, with my name in place of Moe's.

this conversation between apu and manjula was great, even if it just shows how hard it was raising octuplets,

APU: oh i just had the most wonderful dream, where i died. ManJula: oh no you dont, not until they are in college.

its not exact quote but still damn funny

I'm going to party like it's on sale for $19.99.
