Lisa researches her family tree for a school project, and finds that Homer's side of the family are descendents of the legendary Kerr Clan of Scotland. When Groundskeeper Willie finds out, he offers to take her to Scotland to discover her heritage. Lisa asks Homer, who indifferently agrees, and she and Willie go and take in the rich depth of Scotland's culture and people, where Lisa is both delighted and confounded to find that her forbearers are a lot like her own family--including Lisa herself. Meanwhile, back in Springfield, a massive media frenzy erupts when Homer forgets where Lisa went and the townspeople suspect Willie of abducting Lisa. When the Mt. Springfield Ice Cap melts and floods the town, the Simpsons find need to buy a houseboat. Homer, however, makes it big by cashing in on Flanders' flood insurance. He uses most of the money to buy a rather elaborate boat, which attracts the attention of famous yachtsman John Denversail. He challenges the Simpsons to a race around the world. Naturally, the challenge is accepted, and the Simpsons set sail. Midway through the race, a great storm catches them unprepared and deprives their boat of precious power reserves. Homer brilliantly redesigns the boat's engines to run on concentrated toxic waste, and his ship inadvertently becomes the world's largest polluter--and fastest racing yacht. After setting environmental recovery back "50 billion years," Homer must decide whether he should press on and win the race, or save the world from irreversible environmental damage. Episode 2: "The Tower to Hell"
Set in olden times, Lisa, Empress of Babylon, orders construction of a tower so tall that it will reach Heaven itself, so that she can meet God once and for all or prove that he doesn't exist. However, Master Architect Homer the Incapable misreads his own blueprints and ends up building a tower to Hell, thus opening a gateway for unspeakable evil to invade the land of Babylon.
Episode 3: "Bartro the Magnificent"
On a routine visit to the family bioengineer, Bart is accidentally endowed with the superhuman will and means to conquer the world and establish a dynasty in his own image. It is up to his family to stop him.
*** 10E204 - "The Montgomery Energy Consortium"
Monty Burns decides to convert his beloved fission plant into a far more lucrative microwave solar plant. At first, everyone is happy. Microwave power is clean and inexpensive, helping the environment while building Springfield into a regional energy leader, and the new plant employs many more people than the old one, lowering the town's unemployment. Burns uses his plant's success as an occasion to invite all his old political and economic enemies to an energy summit in Switzerland, in hopes of reconciling past differences and creating a new transnational energy consortium. However, the illusion crumbles when Homer, while conducting a routine safety inspection operation, discovers that Burns is actually planning to use the solar satellite in orbit as a giant death ray against his enemies when they are all gathered together at the summit. The plan is foiled by Homer's quasi-heroic last minute intervention, and Burns is fined sixty trillion dollars-which, given the value of 2102 currency, is not much for a man of his wealth.
*** 10E205 - "The Magick of Love"
Bart meets a young pagan girl named Elfstar whose unique way of living captivates his heart. He begins practicing her Wiccan beliefs. This alarms Marge, who has already lost her other two children to non-Christian beliefs. She makes a concerted effort to reinvigorate Bart's interest in Christianity but fails repeatedly. As a last resort she takes Bart to see Reverent Lovejoy, but when the good reverend condemns pagans to an eternity in Hell, Bart abandons the faith outright. Stunned, but not defeated, Marge decides to approach the problem from another angle. She meets Elfstar's father, Copsekeeper-who raises his daughter alone-and, against her every ounce of restraint, becomes enthralled in his enchanting pagan beliefs, and even finds herself attracted to Copsekeeper himself. This ultimately leads her to question her choices in life, living as a cookie-cutting housewife to an uninspiring oaf and observing the only religion she had ever known. In the end, Marge decides she is unwilling to live with the possibility that her life has been wasted, so she resolves never to see the mesmerizing Copsekeeper again, and dejectedly allows Bart to follow any road he desires, while leaving the door open for him to return to the Christian persuasion if he should ever so desire. The very last gallon of Earth's crude oil is put on display in the Springfield Museum of Industrial History. When the Simpsons visit, Grampa sees the display and reaches into the depths of his tattered memory to recall that he once owned a vehicle that operated on this "petrol distillate," as it was called. He also remembers that his last petroleum-burning car was buried in a mudslide during a drive in the countryside, many decades ago. Abe becomes determined to seek out and recover his car, and then steal the last of the oil and take one final drive for old time's sake. And so begins the hunt for the Model-Z automobile.
*** 10E207 - "Bart the Guru"
When his talents win over the judges and audience of the school talent show, Bart is offered a guest-host stint on KBBL's "Afternoon Blather" program. He again wins over the audience, bringing the station such high ratings that he is offered a position as permanent co-host-the greatest of the after-school jobs. Lisa, meanwhile, is shocked and appalled to discover that her sedentary, bookwormish lifestyle has left her more than a bit chubby. Bart sees a golden ratings opportunity in this, and offers to bring her and some of their schoolmates to the station, to help her lose weight on the air by a series variety of demeaning activities that will make her the laughing stock of the town.or at least the laughing stock of the KBBL audience. Knowing what lies in store, Lisa is determined to go on the show, both get back in shape and turn Bart's tricks against him.
*** 10E208 - "The New World"
The entire episode is seen through Maggie's eyes, and follows her for two days and one night, with one act given to each. All from Maggie's point of view, we follow several stories, all interspersed with each other. When with Marge, we get to see her lobby the PTA for new air generators. When with Homer and Bart, we get to see them begin construction on what they plan to be the world's most delicious sandwich. When with Lisa, we get to go to the park, where Maggie meets other babies and the rest of us-for the first time ever-get to see just what it is that babies talk about. In the nighttime act, Maggie tastes a bite of Homer's sandwich, and we are then treated to a truly psychedelic baby dream sequence, which I can best describe as a humorous version of Dumbo's "Pink Elephants." The next day, Marge realizes that Maggie is sick, and we go along with Homer and Marge to Dr. Hibbert's clinic, where the good doctor criticizes Homer for feeding his young daughter hallucinogens in the solid form. Back home, we are "treated" to a visit from Patty and Selma, who prove even more traumatic than the sandwich trip. Afterwards Maggie goes with Lisa to her room, where she reads Maggie a story-who envisions it in her mind for us as it goes along. Then on to dinner, where Marge convinces Homer to dispose of the sandwich leftovers in favor of Marge's more human cooking. And, at last, Homer puts Maggie to bed, and tells her to take her time growing up, because the world is a very confusing place. He then wonders aloud what it all looks like from her perspective. Then he kisses her goodnight, turns out the light and leaves. We watch an overhead music carousel spin serenely around as the credits roll. As they end, the screen goes black and she falls asleep.
*** 10E209 - "Bart Squared"
Using the power of the ubiquitous and vast Internet, Bart creates a sentient virtual copy of himself. Finding that he enjoys doubling his antics, Bart creates an android replica of himself in the Comic Book Guy's Robot Buddy Booth and then downloads his doppelganger's mind into it. Bart has a blast, but Milhouse-who at first enjoys having two Barts around-begins to feel edged out of his friendship with the real Bart. He hatches a plan to have the android turn against Bart. It works, but Bart discovers the plan, leading to a three-way melee. Meanwhile, Marge and Homer shop for a new home entertainment system, seeing as their old television is about to become obsolete, as the long-beleaguered HDTV system is finally due to become the norm for entertainment.

This clip show is not a clip show at all, as it showcases scenes from the earlier decades of The Simpsons-ranging from the late nineteenth century when the show began to the wartime satires of World War II.
*** 10E211 - "Flight of the Mumbo Jumbo Jet"
After a nasty sibling quarrel, Marge encourages Bart and Lisa to spend more time together, and Homer adds his two cents to the pot by suggesting they build an airplane in the garage. The kids begin with the usual hobbyist's kit, but when Homer and Marge get into an ongoing fight about which color will be used to repaint the house, Bart and Lisa end up spending more and more time in the garage. As a result, their airplane grows ever larger and more complicated, and in the meantime the kids end up learning a lot about each other's lives, realizing at last that they have been missing out by always fighting with each other. By the time the house is repainted-with the same pink paint as before-Bart and Lisa have become better friends, and have also managed to build a fully operational Boeing 7737, which now sprawls out of their tiny garage as the rest of the plane fills the street and surrounding yards. However, their newly cemented relationship is tested to the limit when Snake hijacks the airplane-with them onboard.
*** 10E212 - "One Small Step"
The Simpsons go on vacation in the capital lunar city of Moonshine, where Homer takes an interest in the fledgling Lunar Navy. He quickly finds himself promoted to Admiral of the Fleet, and flaunts his newfound power by harassing the Indian Empire. Unfortunately, he is soon faced with an imminent invasion by the India's mighty Imperial Fleet. Fortunately, in the nick of time, Apu arrives on the scene and averts an interplanetary incident, although Homer loses his commission. Meanwhile, Lisa takes advantage of Luna's lower gravity to conduct an elaborate physics experiment involving the universe's largest gyroscope.
*** 10E13 - "Madam Mayor"
When Marge writes a letter addressed to the town council, she is shocked to learn that Springfield doesn't actually have a town council. She blames the corrupt Mayor Diamond Joe Quimby, and since he happens to be up for reelection, she decides to run against him. She designs her campaign based on restoring integrity and practicality to the town government, while simultaneously giving the townspeople greater say in government affairs, and wins ground in the polls. But opposition to her mayoral bid comes not only from the political arena, but from her own family. Wanting to keep his wife at home, Homer puts his support behind Quimby, which weakens Marge's position as a family-oriented candidate. To make matters worse, Helen Lovejoy throws her own hat into the ring, convinced that if Marge Simpson can be a good mayor, she can be a better one. Helen begins to siphon Marge's votes, which again puts Quimby in the lead. Marge reaches out to Homer's compassionate side, and finally convinces him to support her bid, and she manages a stunning last-minute victory.
