I agree but this was good compared to another Simpsons clip show, "All Singing, All Dancing."

I thought we agreed never to speak of..."you know what"... ever again.

You must be joking. This one (last night's) was terrible. And given the song at the end where they apologize for having a clip show, it would seem to me it was intentionally bad.

I never said last night's episode was actually good (which it wasn't), just that it wasn't half as awful as "All Singing, All Dancing," which is still one of the worst episodes ever.

I think everyone is misunderstanding that. It wasn't intentionally bad, it was intentionally a clip show which they wouldn't do if Fox didn't make them. Why doesn't anyone realize that? You think writers of any show like doing clip shows? Of course not. They are sitcom writers because they like writing half hour sitcoms, not 5 minutes of inane material used to introduce clips. At least the simpsons writers try to be creative about the clips shows they are forced to do and make them at least tolerable if not enjoyable.
