I think Lisa, in accordance to her Buddhist beliefs and the myth that cats have 9 lives, sort of thinks that Snowball I was re-incarnated into Snowball II, then Snowball III, Coltrane and Snowball V/II-2. Four more lives left.

It must've at least been a few weeks, as it was long enough for Bart and Homer to have all those matches, and I doubt those were daily. Juxtaposing this against the aging of unimportant animals and babies in the series (eg. SLH's puppies were as big as him in a few weeks in "Two Dozen and One Greyhounds", Bart's lizards went from eggs to full growns in a few days in "Bart the Mother", Apu's babies grew up pretty fast in comparison to Maggie) it's entirely possible, though admittedly not very plausible.
