Homer's excellent math skills.

I am led to believe that Homer excels at mathematics. He does taxes with great ease. He plays poker pretty well, perhaps counts the cards. There have been other instances where he has his glasses on and pencil in hand and cranks out the numbers, I just forgot which moments those were if anyone can help me. : )

I just remembered 2 other examples of Homer's poor math skills:
1) "A trillion dolla rbill? That must be worth a fortune!"
2), "We sure could have used that 12 thousand dollars."
    "Dad, 10% of 120 million isn't 12 thousand dollars. It's..."

Homer actually had to count when Lisa was asked the apple question in Lisa's Sax.

I find that strange one, I remember it. But I also recall that in one episode to prove the true creator of Itchey and Scratchy was indeed the creator, Home forked out $1800 to Bart from his own wallet.

he seems to be good at long calculations, remember the chalkboard in their basement during the wizard of evergreen terrace? it only took him three times to get the equation to work. then he just erased the dynamite complete.

But, I know there are great instances where he does well. I am going to keep a good eye on this from here on out. He must be pretty smart to entertain Stephen Hawking for a full night of beer, and to talk donut-universe-theories. :/ hmmm.
