I finally got around to watching it last week myself...

When I first heard they were doing a movie, I thought 'bad idea'. However, once I read the predominantly positive reviews I then thought my initial reaction was unfounded.

But then - after actually watching it - I have to say it was exactly what I originally expected: fairly predictable and unimaginative, and more than anything was not representative of what I feel The Simpsons really are all about.

It just wasn't funny, nor did I feel the true Simpsons essence at any time (This is what I feared would happen).

As for the Spider Pig thing... man, was that ever overrated!

Hopefully they'll never succumb to the temptation to make another movie and stick to what they do best - which is 22 minute shows for television.

I give it 6/10.
