Why does everyone on this group like this line so much? Has it got some hidden reference that I haven't found?

I'll explain, fellows:
It's the use of the word "my".
You see, here in the states everyone is issued a "wookie" as they enter kindergarten. It is quite common for a 5 or 6-year old to misplace their wookie. When this occurs, schoolyard bullies and ruffians make it their point to find said wookie and to "bend" it. Fear not, a wookie can easily be reshaped!
Typically, the wookie is then anonymously returned to the original owner with a note saying simply, "I bent YOUR wookie".
To hear Ralph say "I bent my wookie" is simply a delicious play on words that works on so many different levels.
My sarcasm detector is broken..... Was there any sarcasm in that?
If not, what the hell is a wookie?
