Who Would Play the RL Simpson's in a Movie???

Ok, lets pretend they're going to make a movie about the Simpson's, but with real actors. Who would you pick to play the parts?

I think Jim Carry would make a perfect Grounds Keeper Willie, but it's not really central character so he may not accept the role--that is, unless the whole movie centered around a plot about Willie.

I don't have the vaugest idea who could play the females on the show. Mike Meyers could probably pull off the part of Homer with a lot of make-up and prosthetics that he seems to be so fond of (Fat Bastard & Cat in the Hat).

Maybe for Lisa Simpson they could actually get the woman who does her voice, Yeardly Smith (sp?)

For the Comic Shop Guy, I'm thinking of Wayne Knight, the guy who played Neuman on Seinfield. He would need a blond wig with a pony tale.

Get Bill Cosby to play the black doctor on the show, he's perfect for it.

For Nelson Muntz, Rosie O'Donnal. I know Nelson is a boy, but has anyone done a hormone count on Rosie lately? Nelson resembles a lot of lesbians I've seen in my life--the ones who hate everything and everybody.

Mr. Burns is a tough one, I'm drawing a blank. Same with Bart, I'm not up on all the latest child stars. Again, maybe a small in stature, small in breast size, woman could play Bart.

What are your thoughts on the subject?

Realizing this is one of the most hated topics of the fandom...

Wasn't there a line in one of the episodes where someoone joked that John Goodman is going to play Homer in a movie?

Anyway, use the actual Harry Shearer to play Kent Brockman...and maybe disguise him for some other parts...(maybe even do that in some instances with some of the actual voice actors..) Lisa Simpson...use the actual Yeardley Smith.

They both already have experience as screen actors.

Conceivably, there is a way, (by use of computer graphics), to put a "digital costume" on all the actual voice actors from the show...but what would be the point? It would basically be the same as the hand drawn tv show, but with better graphics.

I say use some of the original actors in key parts; like I mentioned, Homer, Marge, Lisa, Kent Brockman...

    Since the current plans are for any Simpsons movie to be animated,
    this is a moot point.  Besides, (a) it's been asked to death, and
    (b) the cast keeps changing, especially if you try to cast Bart.
    It's gone from Macauley Culkin to Haley Joel Osment ("The Sixth
    Sense" - note he's done animation) to Jonathan Lipnicki ("Stuart
    Little").

    Between you and me, if there was ever a live-action Simpsons
    movie, I would be VERY surprised if there isn't a nationwide
    (or at least Southern California-wide) talent search to find kids
    to portray Bart and Lisa who look something like them (as was done
    with "The Brady Bunch Movie"), rather than having "current actors"
    do it.  (Then again, I was just as surprised that Steven Spielberg
    (reportedly) refused to direct the Harry Potter movies because he
    demanded that a "name" like Haley Joel Osment play the title role
    (author J.K. Rowling definitely said "no British boy as Harry, no
    movie"), so I could be wrong here.  Not that there's any guarantee
    of stardom - quick, what boy played Charlie in "Willy Wonka and the
    Chocolate Factory"?  For that matter, who portray Ron and Hermoine
    in "Harry Potter and the (Philosopher's / Sorceror's) Stone"?)
    (Answer to the first one: Peter Ostrum - and "Wonka" was his only
    film; according to imdb.com, he became a veterinarian.
    Answer to the second one: Rupert Grint and Emma Watson.)

    As for Maggie, most lists that cast Maggie say something along the
    lines of "any baby will do"; of course, child labor laws pretty
    much require using identical twins.  (Not that there would be "two
    Maggies at the same time", but the two babies would play Maggie in
    different scenes - Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen got their start by
    playing the same character on "Full House".)

    Personally, I would either get Jim Henson's Creature Shop to make
    something that looks like the cartoon version, or "draw Maggie in"
    the way Rocky and Bullwinkle were drawn in in their movie.
