ok, this has been bugging me forever... what is the guy in the box factory referring to when he says "oh, they took that out. yes, it is just like all the other rooms"

someone says it looks just like all the other rooms,but the guy says "yes,but with one important difference...oh,they took that out. it is like all the other rooms." we never find out what that difference is,sorry.
