Ok, here is a little question, on one of the clip shows with Troy MacLure, they had that little bit on "What two popular Simpsons Characters died this year" and the pics of Munroe and Bleeding Gums were there.
My question is, we saw Bleeding Gums die, but was there ever an episode where Munroe died or was talked about besides this clip show. Or did they just scrap him out of the show.
His unofficial death was "Who Shot Mr. Burns? Part Two". Apparently the writers needed a name for the hospital, and someone suggested "Marvin Monroe Memorial Hospital", which got a laugh. However, they then realized they would need to kill off Monroe to do it, and since he was an unpopular character, one the writers couldn't see really going anywhere, and one that Harry Shearer had trouble doing the voice to, they killed him off without explanation.
Could have been natural causes relating to his weight.
