Final Episode

When the Simpsons finally gets too the end of the run what plotlines would you like to see? Smithers coming out officially? Bart and Lisa getting out of grade school? Maggie growing up? Or will they pull an "it was all in somebody else's head" shtick like in Roseanne and St. Elsewhere--and the characters are 20(+/-) years older than the ones we've seen all along...

Marge dies in a snuff film.

Homer goes to jail for directing said snuff film.

Hello, all the times we have discussed this before, .... with the glaven and the mu-hey!

We decided that the last episode should spoof the last episodes of other famous TV shows. Or the endings of famous movies like Catch-22. No, that second idea was mine alone.

The endings of MASH, ST-TNG, Hill Street Blues, Frasier, Friends, Seinfeld, Cheers, etc. Homer could get fat and become a drunk, like Kirstie Alley did in Cheers.

It would have to include a reference to the line from "The Sting" saying something about "You better enjoy this kids, because it's all you're gonna get..."

How about, (the very last scene of the very last episode):

Bart comes running downstairs to tell Marge, "Mom, I grew an inch!" (After just measuring his height.)

Homer: "Marge, I lost those last couple of hairs..and now I'm COMPLETELY bald."

Lisa and Marge also chime in with something that demonstrates that time has moved slightly forward and it's the end of them being the same age forever...

Lisa: "Well, we can't be the same age forever, you know..."

Bart: "But I was under the impression - nevermind..."

What if they scheduled a final episode, and then just cancelled it, out of anger? Hah! Surprise! No simpsons for you... (Simpsons Nazi ending)

Or scheduled it for April 15th, and then didn't show it, ... APRIL FOOL'S! (Simpsons South Park ending). Or replaced Homer with Dick Sargent (Bewitched). Or left Homer out of the last episode because of creative differences with the producer (Brady Bunch). The house has a fire and almost burns down (Hill Street Blues). Homer and Marge hold hands and walk off stage (The Cosby Show). Fred Flintstone wakes up and tells Wilma he had a dream that he was living in the future and was fat and bald (The Last Bob Newhart Show). The Korean War ends and everyone goes home? (MASH) Homer visits Carl at Carl's vineyard and tell's him about his time time travelling experiences. (ST-TNG).
