No one else has mentioned this, so I'm wondering if it was only a local problem. Given the nature of animation, I doubt it. I noticed that there appears to be a scratch of some sort in the upper-right corner of many of the scenes throughout last night's episode. It reminded me of when a hair gets in front of a movie projector and annoys everyone by moving around throughout the movie.
You can see this in many scenes; for example, the start of the second act with Homer driving down the highway you can clearly see it against the brown of the highway in the upper right. I recorded it on my computer, and it's quite noticeable throughout the episode when I used a slider-type control to quickly scan through the whole episode. The scratch/hair is visible frequently and moves up/down depending on where it is in the ep.
I'd like to know if anyone else noticed this apparent error in the print. They must be getting lax in the Simpsons QA department. :)
