no, not the best episode ever by far, but the whole first act had me LOL. homer trying to find ways to get a buzz? hilarious! monkey trauama center? man! yeah, it kinda went downhill after they watched him in the cab, but there was a lot in there i liked. homer driving that huge devil head at the end? that was hilarious! the second act was just guest stars parading about, but that line that richards said about having to be in tip-top physical shape (or something like that) while puffing on a smoke had me laughing! i think it was an OK start to the season. DYN homer's legs in the sharks' mouths?

The final sight gag of Homer driving the giant prop devil's head was pretty funny. But why no mention of Homer's Grammy, or his cannonball opening @ Lollapalooza? ("Billy Corrigan, Smashing Pumpkins." "Homer Simpson, smiling politely")

I also thought the first act was great, but it fell apart when Marge pulled over to the side of the road in front of the camp and started explaining what they were doing.

Yeah, the celeb thing worked for me - they had some good lines and I was still grinning thru much of the 2nd half too.
I liked it, but maybe it was just the mushroom burrito I had before it came on.
It was good. Not GREAT, but good. I give it a "B".

It was entertaining. It wasn't what the made The Simpsons great. The comparison with former genius is to its disadvantage. But I watched. Compared to most of the crap out there...
The more I think about it the more i liked it...they actually brought back a homer with a little emotion (besides rage)...plus...Lenny Kravitz crotch stuffing...I couldn't stop laughing...
Also...I dont know if this was a local thing (although I cant understand why it would be since its on Fox), but did anyone notice that the first whole part of the intro was cut out and it went straight to the car pulling into the driveway? That was vaguely disturbing to me...
