Hey, what's up with this show, why is it only on so late at night? I just started watching it recently on Comedy Central, I think it's great. Why doesn't FOX pick it up?

FOX had it for two seasons circa '94 or so. It was cancelled after the second season. Comedy Central, like it does for 98% of it's shows is showing reruns.
Oh, my mistake I didn't know FOX had it back then. Why did it get canceled though, seems pretty good to me...

I love the show too. I have no idea why it was cancelled. Probably wasn't generating the ratings they were anticipating.
Jay Sherman's "student film" is one of the funniest single scenes I've ever seen on TV.

The only reason shows are cancelled is because of low ratings. I'm gonna miss "Dark Angel". The show sucks, but that &%*amp;%*# chick is so damn hot ...

I'm replying to it up here, but also responding to a few remarks made later on...
ABC had it for the first season (93-94, 13 episodes) and then fox had it for 94-95 (10 episodes). Comedy central took it a while ago (I don't know if there were cuts made), but they haven't shown it for at least a month (you'd think that they could free a time slot...they run the same south park and prime time glick like 4 times a week!).
They made about a dozen shockwave "episodes" with most of the original voices - since Doris Grau died, the character of Doris is gone, so Jay has a younger assistant now. They can be found at... http://atomfilms.shockwave.com/af/animation/series/critic/

Comedy Central really should have picked up the show for new episodes.. "The Critic" has been on that network longer then most of there original shows have.. airing the same 25 or so episodes (both ABC and Fox only had half seasons) over 5 or 6 years is bound to kill the ratings

When the Critic was on I didn't have cable, and in my room I only get ABC and I remember watching the Critic regularly.... Al F 729th ACS HAFB, Utah I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now, what I'm with isn't it, and what's "it" seems weird and scary to me.-Abe
