Anyone know which episode it is where Homer is being chased by dogs, pulls out some sausages as if he's going to throw them to the dogs to put them off, but eats them himself then runs faster?
I was convinced it was Treehouse of Horror V, where Ned Flanders is the world's ruler, but I've watched this episode again from a few sources, and the bit where dogs chase Homer doesn't have sausages in it.

There's another episode - the lemon tree one - where Homer throws a ham at a dog to distract it from Bart, but the dog swallows it whole and keeps coming!
On a related subject - did anyone else see the Mythbusters episode where they tried to distract a guard dog with various smells?
No... I haven't. But that is one show that needs to be busted itself. Very spurious/questionable 'busting' goes on in that show... not to be relied upon AT ALL. Sad thing is, most people watching that tripe are fooled by it and will accept anything they say.
They do often revisit myths based on viewer criticism, you know...
