Review: This episode had promise, but in the end it wasn't there. Why was Gloria only a cop in the first scene? Shouldn't the others have recognized her at least? The dedication to George Harrison was nice. I give it a C.

Goofs Chinese New Year is in February and Flag Day is June 14. OFF was discussing Burns's date before it happened. How did they know?

Where is Springfield? If the Chinese New Year parade really took place in February, there was no snow on the ground, suggesting a more southerly locale.

Also, the way burns was dancing at the disco was a refrence to the Charlie Brown Christmas special. The one where Charlie Brown got that little tree, you know. Burns was dancing the way one of the kids did.

Springfield is in Kentucky..... Shelbyville, Springfield, and Simpsonville are all within ~10 miles of each other in Westish KY. All consecutive exits on the highway.

Thats what i feel too, there never seems to be much effort in the writing anymore.

and wasn't this a schwartzwelder episode? why can he no longer write for the simpsons? all of the character seemed off: burns, homer, smithers, and they can't seem to write two lines for lisa. what the hell was she doing at the hostage negotiation? she just came out of nowhere to explain everything to wiggum. great. very thoughtful.
