Family Guy 6/05/05 and "Bart-Mangled Banner"

Last night's (new) Family Guy, "Don't Make Me Over", had Peter and his family performing a variety show-style, singing performance for an audience of prisoners. This was already done on The Simpsons "Bart-Mangled Banner" last year. I usually let Family Guy slide on most of the subtle Simpsons rip-offs, but this one is too blatant.

The next thing you know, they'll do a "Simpsons did it!" episode.

I meant the style of a variety show, (be it the Brady's or Patridge's), playing in front of an audience of prisoners, in a prison...

Or, are you saying that I missed The Brady Prison Special?

It reminds me of the movie fame, and to the lesser extent the television show which was also called fame.
