=v= This is an odd thing in its own right, but I couldn't help but notice a _Simpsons_ connection ...

=v= A woman in Venice (the one near L.A., where Matt Groening lives) put some cards on SUV windshields that said this:

"Road-Hogging, Gas-Guzzling, Air-Fouling Vulgarian! Clearly you have an extremely small penis, or you wouldn't drive such a monstrosity. For the adequately endowed, there are hybrids or electrics. 310/798-1817."

Unsurprisingly, she got some phone calls. She wrote a column based on the messages people left on her machine:

=v= Here's one of the responses she got:

Man No. 7: (With an Indian accent thicker than day-old lamb
vindaloo) Hello, I got this card on my car. What the fuck
is your problem? I have eight children. Fucking Americans!
Go right to hell, you fucking asshole!

Naturally, I figure this is Apu Nahasapeemapetilon. Or maybe perhaps Hank Azaria. By the way, here's the writer's response:

Eight kids? I should have left a box of Trojans on your
    windshield. Hell, maybe a case.
                                                        .-. .-.

I hope she gave them her work number... I'd hate to be tracked down at work.

That's an interesting idea though... I might try that with out campus paper. :)

Ouch... that's harsh.

I don't see what her point was though. I mean other than the annoy people and bait them into calling her back and curse her out. I suppose comeuppance would have occurred if NO ONE returned the phone call.

Essentially, she is a real life troll. What she did is no different than what people do in here when they post things like "Simpsons suck and you're all a bunch of losers". She just took the trolling outdoors...

She did it for the sake of the messages she would get in return and she even admitted it. Someone called her and left a message along the lines of, "you're right, I should get rid of this, what do you suggest I do?"

Her response in the article was something to the effect of, "I'm not here to help, I just want to annoy". Why bother then? Apparently she wasn't getting enough attention from her parents/men in her life...

Right. One problem: there was nothing funny about that column.
