Remember when the Simpsons were at the height of their popularity, when everyone had a 'Don't Have A Cow" tee, and Joe Piscipo was entertaining the masses? There was that "shocking" cover story in all of the tabloids about the fact that Bart's voice is done by a woman. I never understood that.

The reason why they used a woman's voice instead of a child because a child's voice would no longer sound like a child after 12 seasons.
