Get your mind out of the lucky gutter!

Homer's JAWS were "wired shut", he was going so far as to SNORT steak because his MOUTH was actually closed.

He was so HUNGRY.

You have Sex and the Simpsons and Jaws wired shut confused. AGAIN!

Thanks.

spoken like a true virgin..

It's so obviously "I'm horny" The joke works better than hungry.

"I don't know what you said, but I'm sure it was romantic."

Yes you are. A grown man doesn't go to a stupid gathering and says "I'm horny" when he's surrounded by tasty eats and his JAWS wired shut, not something else wired shut.

Not really. Remember the Isotopes episode when they asked Homer a question and he said "Me so hungry" and everybody laughed but the announcer said he said something totally different? See, it's supposed to be funny to laugh at another's pain. TRUE SIMPSONS STYLE.

Yep. Stomach cramps turn everyone on.

But they used that joke when he was "talking" to Burns. Why would they repeat it in less than a minute? Though, I agree,"hungry" is more funny.

His JAWS were wired shut. How did you tell what he said? How did you understand? Trust me, if you had that fat pig quack wire your jaws shut where you couldn't eat solid food, you'd be hungry too. Especially if you were a fat pig like Homer.

ZedSimpsons Fan

He may be hungry, but it doesn't mean that he would say that he is hungry all the time. During the dance, he clearly says that he is "horny". Go check, you'll see. Even the closed captionning agrees with me :-)

Similarities between HORNY and HUNGRY:

  • They begin with H
  • They end in Y
  • They have two syllables
  • They have one R and one N

and the diferences are uncountable.

If he was hungry and his jaws were wired shut, he woudn't be able to PRONOUNCE hungry correctly. It doesn't matter what he said, it matters what we heard, and we heard HORNY.

But I'm not.

I don't believe you.

If that's your logic, I suggest you use your mute button and brain more often.

Then you'll never know. EVER!

ZedSimpsons Fan

During the dance, in "Jaws Wired Shut", Homer says "I'm horny"

Simpsons FanZed

I doubt that. Doesn't make sense, his JAWS were wired shut, so shut that he couldn't eat steak. He had to snort it, remember? He said "I'm hungry."

Homer's fat, not a porn star.

ZedSimpsons Fan

You are incorrect. I suggest you go watch the episode again :-)

CassidyZed

At the end of the episode he does say "I'm Horny" not i'm hungry....it's the only time but he does say it. And my closed captioning agreed with it too

I don't know about the end of the episode. I thought we were talking about the formal dance. Homer says "I'm horny" during the dance.

Why do you keep on insisting on being wrong?

Simpsons FanZed

If I wanted to be wrong I would dress up as you. Last time I checked it wasn't Halloween. If you're some kind of sex pig, then I'm sure it's horny because his JAWS were wired shut, "yeah, OK".

Wonder what he would of said if he lost his tongue.

Thanks.

what i'm still trying to figure out is how is it even POSSIBLE to confuse the two words? listen to the stresses & pronunciations

HORE-KNEE

HUNG-GREE

does anyone have the episode on file? if so, please extract a soundbyte from it and let's end this once and for all.

Jason Saslowmike

Well if you're going to break down both words syllabically, it would be more like:

'hor-nE

and

'h&[ng]-grE

The stresses are both on the same syllable (1st) but there's just no confusing those two words in pronunciation.

We can settle it by WIRING YOUR JAWS SHUT, (I believe the name of the episode was JAWS WIRED SHUT), and then have you say "I'm hungry" when your wife asks about you after you had to snort steak. (Because you can't eat solid food because your JAWS ARE WIRED SHUT).

Thanks.

Jason SaslowSimpsons Fan

eh!) why are you so angry?

and

B) if you just ate steak (through your nose or not) you wouldn't be too hungry anymore.

I didn't see the ep, but I did see the promo with that scene, and context or not, it was clearly "horny". Sorry.

A) NOBODY'S ANGRY, (AT LEAST NOT ME, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO WIRE SOME PEOPLE'S MOUTH SHUT AND MAKE THEM SAY HUNGRY, HORNY, AND LISA JUNIOR.)

HE ATE STEAK IN ONE SCENE. WE DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH TIME PAST.

NO NEED TO BE SORRY, YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG. NEITHER DID HOMER BUT SAYING HUNGRY. YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG, YET.

yeah, they don't sound the same at all. it's weird a person can mistake "I'm horny" for "I'm hungry"

Simpsons FanZed

It's weird an episode can be about JAWS BEING WIRED SHUT (Therefore being unable to pronounce words correctly.) Get your mind out of the gutter! Homer + Sex = Bad Kids.

Zedmike

I was bored, so i made a WAV file. it is very poor quality, but good enough.

It is very clear what he says.

I would have posted it here, but I don't know if it is ok to do that in a non-binaries type of group.
