I can identify two of the rifles which Homer has in his gun closet. The one on the far left is an M1 Garand, the standeard issue rifle wor WWII. The one on the far right is an M16, probably acquired before the assault weapons ban. Grandpa claims to have served in the 1st Infantry Division. On June 6, 1944 they stormed Omaha Beach. Also Edwina wouldn't have been anywhere near the docks, that would have been a serious felony.

It would unlikely that it would be a "Felony" as this event took place in Britain, Edwina would have been among literally 1000's of People waving off the troops off for operation overlord, thats how we do it over here.
