No, I don't know why Fox moved "He Loves to Fly and He D'ohs" from 7:00 to 8:30, especially as they moved a new episode of "King of the Hill" from what was supposed to be its normal time (8:30) to 7:00. My guess: they feel 90 minutes of Simpsons followed by an hour of Family Guy would get better ratings to end November than the original schedule, even if it means pulling a new American Dad from the schedule. (Besides, Fox is going to need as many new shows as it can get if the strike lasts too much longer. It's possible the AD episode needs post-production work and Fox feels it can let it go until the strike ends, but then why are there three new episodes scheduled for the next three weeks?)

GOOFS / FREEZE FRAME / WHATNOT The commercials during the Itchy & Scratchy cartoon were for Duff Beer, Turbo Diary, Funzo, SpringShield, Mr. Sparkle, and the fake ribs restaurant Sideshow Bob had built.

Although it's not set up that way, you can skip commercials (well, you can skip 30 seconds at a time) using the TiVo remote if it's set up to do so.

Lisa and Marge skip commercials in shows that are airing at that moment; this would require going into the future.

Bart can't possibly be the oldest person in his class by two years; that would make all of the other fourth graders Lisa's age.

The lever for the cremation conveyer belt wasn't there until Bob pulled it; for that matter, the box of unclaimed ashes kept appearing and disappearing.

Er, since when is the casket cremated? For that matter, since when is someone who is being cremated put into a casket in the first place? How would you separate the casket's ashes from the person's?

Lisa once got a gift that was a diary that was protected so that if anyone who was unauthorized would get a shock if they tried to read it. One of the ads was for that diary. ALSO, one of the ads Marge FF'd through was for the rib place.

In the original movie about those 11 guys who robbed a casino with Danny Ocean, but I can't seem to remember the name of the movie, a casket was cremated.

In the 2nd episode, Brockman was made to look like Edward R. Murrow. Similar to the way he was made to look like Walter Cronkite in http://www.snpp.com/episodes/9F07.html (Mr. Plow).

I know very little about the cremation process, but if they were going for a reference (Diamonds are Forever, or Aaron's Ocean's 11 suggestion [I have not seen the original]) it might make more sense. I have heard, though, that it's not really no more and no less than the person's ashes (or even any of them perhaps), in which case, a little casket would probably be OK.

Ha - the impression I got was that his advertisement was so specific (he mentioned things each of them would like) that it would turn off most other families. It was also a bit of a drive. Either that or (as it did originally run during Krusty, but perhaps during another show when Marge reviews it) most Springfield children are not exactly the target market for an old-west restaurant.

It is standard practice to cremate the body inside the coffin (or other container). In fact, there are coffins made specifically for this purpose. Your other option is to use a rental casket for the wake/viewing/what-have-you, then get transferred into another container of some sort for the cremation. The ashes from the coffin are not separated from the ashes from the body.
