They do the same thing in NY. If you want to see something from before season 12, forget it.

The weird part is that they don't. Marge is certainly shown in the "Marge goes to bed naked" episodes, for example. And in the Apu outtake shown in the 138th episode spectacular, they leave in the cursing in Hindi. My guess is that they didn't care about the Hindi too much because Star India is essentially marketing for export -- no one in, say, Hong Kong, is going to care much about Hindi, but TPTB in one of the countries to which they broadcast must have given them some kind of rules on content.
