At least we know who they'll hire if one of the Simpsons voice guys ever dies, quits, gets fired or loses his voice.
No, but likely the show keeps a picture of Rick around, and if any of the voices act up, management points to it, and says "Remember Rick Miller? We can replace you in a New York minute". Surely it helps to keep them in line.
In 1998 when he was doing another benefit for our Fringe Festival here in Montreal, the voices had been trying to get a raise (and there had been talk of getting new people), and I wrote that Rick couldn't have taken over all their jobs.
Of course, that was the year I was sitting in the front row, and he was doing his rock star impressions, and he practically started humping my leg.
