I saw a show on Univision the other day. It was called "Pica y se Extendio" or something like that. I rushed over to the bookcase and grabbed my old Spanish textbook from College. But they were talking too fast. A woman was in a hot tub wearing a thong and big, flowery pasties to cover her big, ... and so on. "Pico" means "peak", as in mountain peak. I wonder what "pica" means?

In Spanish, I believe "pica" means "itches," but in English, it's a word for a psychological disorder in which the person is compelled to eat things that aren't normally food, like dirt, or ashes, or clay.

Oranges in the head, eh? I do remember some of my High School and College Spanish after all! I recently saw "Kelly's Heroes" in Spanish on Univision. The only thing I could understand in real time was "Kelly, esta bien?". Everything else was look it up in the English-Spanish dictionary.

I assume these are Simpsons references, but I don't remember them. I only know English, and "un poco" Spanish! One year of High School Spanish and two years of College Spanish, plus living in Florida for a few years and speaking a little Spanish with my neighbors down there who were all from Cuba. And all that was more than 20 years ago! Otherwise, "I know nothing" (and that's all the "German" I know, BTW).
