Season 13

Here in Spain we haven't watched the 13th season yet, so please, tell me what you think about it so far. Is it better than season 12?

With a clip show, various past storylines reused with the characters involved changed, and crude humor used to fill the voids in the show that used to house the writers ideas, I'd say don't cancle any apointments to stay at home watching the thirteenth season. This season (The 13th) is much better than the 12th. Mike Scully, who produced the show for the last few seasons, has been replaced by Al Jean, and there has been a noticable increase in the quality of the show. Not to say that there haven't been a few duds or that the show is as good as it once was, but it still is good for 22 minutes of laughs a weeks.

Definately not. Season 12 had some good episodes, but season 13 has been dire so far, they've resorted to all sorts of crap that I never thought I'd see on the simpsons (sex jokes, toilet humour, that sort of thing).

Do yourself a favour and don't waste the 20 minutes per episode of your life to watch it.

Thats a bit harsh. I know I made a post condeming season 13, but if you're like me, and you have every episode on tape, I'd still watch it even though the jokes are few and far between.

I don't think that it is. I've stood by the simpsons in the past, through season 11 and 12 when people were saying it had got crap, because I still found the episodes funny.

However, there have been some season 13 episodes where I haven't laughed once during the whole ep, instead wincing in pain at some of the awful attempted jokes. The rest of them have generally been mediocre.

Yep, I have them all on tape, but only because I'd like to have the complete Simpsons collection. I still watch episodes from all seasons, but I won't be rewatching any from 13.

Just IMO of course, but I am quite close to stopping watching the show altogether, which if you predicted 5 years ago I'd never have believed you.
