What happened?

You know what the happened to the Simpsons since season 11? They segway from plot-sections way too fast. Before, they use to have basically one or two plots that were built into something interesting after about 4 or 5 minutes. Now, there is only one main plot, but fivve or six events that add nothing to it but fill half the show.

I haven't seen one of those scooter things in the show, but I think it would be fun to see Homer riding one.
