Well I hope when they do, that Channel 4 start showing whatever they've got the rights to. Due to where I live I can't get Sky digital any more and so BBC2 has been my only Simpsons source. I've only seen half of season 11 and none of anything after that!! I was all excited about Freeview until I realised it s 30 channels of crap!

The BBC may well censor Family Guy should they get their hands on it; but bear in mind that they censored the Simpsons a good deal less than Sky did- at least initially anyway! So maybe they wouldn't....

Whatever, I wish they'd stop showing the Fresh bleedin' Prince but it's unlikely anyone will be involved in a bidding war over *that*, eh?

Did you really think Freeview would include Sky One? Would never happen. I would think half the people that subscribe to cable or DSat do so to receive Sky One purely for The Simpsons. Hell, its a piss poor channel the rest of the time. Actually the only shows I like on Sky One are the 5 animation shows it carries. It doesn't seem to be forthcoming with Futurama reruns lately though which annoys me since it seemed to be mainstay on Fridays for most of last year before I had the package :)

Sky don't censor OFF that badly really. Its only a problem for purists, and only then if they do it inconsistantly. Family guy I can see the cuts even though I don't know what they are. I accept these things. I'm pretty mellow like that..

heheh. That can also be found on Trouble Digital... A lot. I doubt theres much conflict though. That said, Channel 4 always screw up us youngsters trying to watch the earlier story arcs in Cheers because they no longer own the rights to an individual season.. Last year they just skipped a seasons worth of episodes which included the conclusions of the original storyline. I dunno if the Fresh Price has these problems since they never had story arcs :) One thing I wondered, Will Smith was eventually Exec Producer of this show. Was he when it began cos he looked about 16?

seriously though i have every simpsons on tape and i still regard family guy as being better than recent simpsons series...the humour is far fresher... but for well develpoed characters you can beat the simpsons

family guy is quite good, will it have the staying power of the simpsons. Theyve been around since ,my age started with a "1" now my age starts with "3" god what a leap.

Shame really, but Fox were too stupid to cancel the simpsons and keep FG running. I don't even bother to try and work out why any more.
