I saw this episode today after a long time. It's probably been a few years. The way the writers weave a somewhat melancholy story with comedy is brilliant. I loved the moment when young Krusty imitates his father and is caught and he chokes him. Then we see Homer choking Bart after Homer says he doesn't have to follow his footsteps and Bart replies, "I don't even like using the bathroom after you." I appreciate it even more today, and the masturbation subtext of the seltzer joke went over my head when I first saw the episode.
