While very enjoyable at parts, tonight's episode was still seriously lacking. I enjoyed the idea of Homer and Marge becoming friends, and I think that Marge's drinking "problem" was well developed. But overall, the plot was terribly disjointed, and the main conflict was introduced far too late to be effective so the resolution felt rushed and tacked on. And the attempt at justifying Homer's actions was pathetic. But good use of ancillary characters (most notably, Otto) and decent characterization earn this episode a 7.5/10. (C/C+)
