So how many times have characters from the simpsons made a crack at Arby's? I know there is the episode where either Sherry or Terry say, "I'm so hungry I can eat at Arby's" in the Lord of the Flies Parody. There was another episode where Marge says something along the lines of "Commericals make you do strange things... Like eat at Arby's" I think there is one other but I don't remember off hand, anyone else know?

As someone who doesn't live in the US, what is Arby's? I get the impression it's some kind of fast food chain....? Or is it made up? Any more details anyone?

I like their chicken strips and curly fries but don't care for the roast beef stuff.

You know, I never realized that was what "Arby's" meant. I figured it was some guy's name. Some guy named Arby.

The meat they use is kind of funny in how it's made. Basically they get a bunch of lower quality meat, mince it up, stuff it in a casing (it's very liquidy at this point), and heat it until it's cooked and solidifies. Then it's thinly sliced as needed. I guess this is how most deli meat is made.

Aside from that, Arby's beef and cheddar's used to be good when they put them on the onion rolls, now they are on sesame seed rolls which aren't as good.

The chief claim to fame of Arby's "meat" is that its infused with something (I want to say potassium nitrite) that makes it "self-basting". This was described on a Arby's placemat back in the 80's.

It's a fast food chain that primarily serves roast beef...or RB...or Arby's.

That's not where the name "Arby's" came from, according to their website (see www.arbys.com/arb01.html). It says, "We came up with Arby's, which stands for R.B., the initials of Raffel Brothers, although I guess customers might think the initials stand for roast beef."

I like the (spelling?->)jalepeno poppers, and the curly fries.

Then they got the rainbow beef. When you look at the meat at just the right angle, you can see weird colorful refraction patterns sheen across it's surface. Like oil on water. Most appetizing.

In the late 70s/early 80s, their commercials used to claim that Arby's stood for America's Roast Beef, Yes Sir.
