Homer hasn't been jailed in South America, Africa or Australia on the show, even though he's been to all three of those places at least once.

Well, it appears that the streak of greatness has come to an abrupt halt. Tonight's episode suffered most from its lack of a specific plot and the fact that like most vacation episodes it was really just a string of hit-miss gags, which were poorly woven together. Most of the humor is found in the first act with the Museum of Modern Bart and the Smithers/Burns interaction, but the rest barely got a faint smile out of me. The sub plot was also grossly underdeveloped. If they had given Abe's quest for his old flame some additional screentime, I'm sure it could've actually added something to this otherwise mediocre episode. "The Regina Monologues" gets a C-. (6/10)

Announcer: FOX Sunday! When The Simpsons hit jolly old London... (Women are shown floating in the air with umbrellas, a la "Mary Poppins". Homer is then seen driving OFF into Buckingham Palace's gates, and bumping into a golden carriage.) Lisa: You rear-ended the Queen of England! (The queen stands up and brushes herself off while guards surround Homer and beat him with bats.) Homer: Whaaa? Announcer: ...will Homer cause an international incident? (The cover of "The Sun" magazine is shown with a picture of a shirtless Homer on it. It reads: "YANK BANGS QUUEN, OLD BEAN". It then cuts to a shot of her majesty, who is sporting a jewel-studded neckbrace, pointing at Homer in a courtroom.) Queen of England: Destroy him! (Homer is dragged off by the baliffs.) Homer: Woohoo! I've been jailed on six continents! Now all I have to do is kill a penguin! (Homer is then shown in the Queen's bedroom. She walks in carrying a large sandwich. Correct on both counts. Windsor is her family name, Regina is a term of address to show that she is the reigning monarch.

I wouldn't say his age has changed. I'd say the joke was that most people don't remember the couple of quotes regarding his age. His hands didn't seem to be moving to 104 though since his hand went up for the middle digit. I suppose Burns' ATM could have the 0 above the 123 line though.

Oh, and I forgot that the "penguin" quote from the promos wasn't in the actual episode (even though I watched it 3 times before posting this) so my Goof is pointless. I'll make up for it by adding some Meta Refs:

Homer's comment about the Brazilian monkey problem is somewhat of a double entendre. It refers to the fact that in the actual episode "Blame It On Lisa", there was an actual monkey problem that plagued Ronaldo ("I am like sugar to them!"). In addition, it pokes fun at the negative backlash of the Brazilian tourist department after the episode first aired.

Bart's early years exhibit at the MoMB refers to the fact that Bart's character has evolved from a mischievious, sling-shot wielding, skateboard riding, lucky red hat wearing prankster into a more toned down version of his former self.
