Caught a brief glimpse of the episode where our favorite evil sidekick is wheelbarrowing a nuke and laughing maniacally. It faded to commercial *just* as the wheel approached a pothole.
Am I correct in remembering he fumbled the bomb at that point, or am I just overly sensitive to PC editing of toons at the moment?
You are correct. That episode has at least two of the worst syndication cuts ever. One is the one you mentioned. It ALWAYS fades to commercial before Bob hits the pothole and drops the bomb. The other is when OFF is in the stands at the air show and the rocket shoots through Marge's hair.
It's such a bad cut, it's almost funny. Marge is sitting there, no hole, no hole, no hole, then all of a sudden there's a big hole in her hair for no apparent reason.
I can't wait to own every season on DVD. I will NEVER watch another episode on TV again (unless it's new).
You know what else is cut from that episode--something like "did somebody say BOX KITES??"
