Idiotic season 2 DVD set "feature"

Got the DVD set today here in Brazil (I have no idea why we got it sooner than the US since they actually had to *add* audio and subtitles in Portuguese and Spanish for the region 4 release).

Anyway, I can't believe the idiocy that goes on when you pop one of the discs in. You're shown 4 characters except their heads are swapped. So you have to keep pressing "select" to make the characters' bodies and heads spin because you just can't access *anything* until they match. Pressing select 4 or 5 times just to access the menu is borderline irritating. I can just picture some moronic executive thinking "let's make it more interactive, people love interactive"

It's also sadly missing the season 1 booklet with the episodes' summaries and production #s.

I don't know if this works on real dvd players, but I know with some dvds you can bypass some stuff like the fbi warnings by pressing next chapter. It works for all three "we want you to see this" things on the season 1 dvds, at least with my computer. Try that out with season 2's animated menus.

The us release has probably been ready to go for months- there's probably a "good" reason for making us wait.

The booklet is gone? Ugh! Maybe that's only for your region, but I don't see why that would be so - although true fans already know the stuff in them, it's still helpful (some people have complained that you can't tell what disc to choose for a particular episode without counting/memorizing - that should be in the booklet) - it seems that they're still learning as they go in terms of the presentation of the episodes (I don't like the almost arbitrary chapter stops; why not do it by act?)

But if I remember correctly, it doesn't seem to work with Disney DVDs. Or maybe it does, and I don't remember. DVDs do seem to vary that way...most of mine I can skip the fbi stuff or it appears very briefly, but on the dvd for Rat Race (worst ending ever!) I have to read the copy warning for about 15 seconds in english, then again in french! (you'd think it would at least teach me some french, but i've learned nothing after owning that dvd for deux mois! sacre bleu! je parle francais maintenant!)

Just press the "Menu" button on the remote and it goes straight to the episode selection menu.

Push select on PS2 and all kinds of options pop up. I'm pretty sure there's a DVD menu button.
