What do you think would be a good Simpsons sound to have as the Start up for Windows?*
At the moment I have "No time for that now - the computer's starting!" (Homer) on Windows start up, and "Close the damn thing down!" (Krusty) on exit. I also have a sound of Apu saying "Thank you for coming, I'll see you in hell!" which I put on occasionally as well.
Any other ideas?
* (If you don't know what I mean, go into 'control panel', click 'sounds and multimedia', then click the 'Sound' tab. There is a list of sounds for certain events, such as open program, close program, alert etc.)

"Wow, Dad you're surfing like a pro." "Oh, Yeah. I'm betting on Jai Lai in the Cayman Islands...I invested in something called NewsCorp." "Dad, that's FOX!" "Ah! Undo, Undo, Ahhh!"

The start-up should of course be from the Lisa vs. The Creators of Malibu Stacy episode (sorry I don't know the title!). When Lisa visits Smithers, he turns his computer on, which shows a start-up of a naked Mr. Burns wearing a sash saying, "Mr. Smithers -- you're quite good at turning me on." :-)
I have my newsreader set up so that when anybody responds to one of my messages, Homer's "Mmm... Erotic cake" from Homer cubed plays. ;-)
Just use any funny sound. I'm sure a ton of people have "To start, press any
key. Where's the any key?" as the start up sound.

I use "The Simpson's bitter past was forgotten, and now the future looks brighter than ever for this Northern Kentucky family." for the shut-down. Not that that has anything to do with anything or anything.

I have "Buenos Ding-Dong Didly Dias Senor" from Flanders latin relative as my start up. My shutdown is Darth Vader, "I find your lack of faith disturbing...."
For a while, my startup sound was Abe's long story from "Last Exit From Springfield," but I got sick of that, and changed it to "I am invincible! Invincible! I - OW!" Yeah, they have nothing to do with anything, but I liked them.
Sorry I have to bother you with this, but does anyone know where I can get this sound, I just thought of that (independantly, I'll have you know) earlier today.
For startup "to start...press any key. Where's the any key?" and "Hello...Smithers...you're quite good at...turning me on", and "Kon'nichi wa". To exit, I have ""G'nite losers!" and "I'm Troy McClure and I'll leave you with what we all came here to see-hardcore nudity!" I use random event sounds to cycle through the wavs. "Quadro" wrote in message news:9j866a$m9cej$[email]...
