I know this has nothing to do with The Simpsons but no one is answering on the movie talk groups. I just watched E.T.the 2002 version and I haven't seen the 1982 version for so long can someone please tell me What did Steven Spielberg Change in the 2002 version. I would like to know every single thing.

I haven't seen the new version, but I would imagine there are a few more scenes with special computerized effects...similar to how the old Star Wars movies were updated a few years ago.

I believe the "penis breath" line was also excised.

There is also a scene where E.T. and Mr. T have a torrid affair. There's a child in the end, he pities the fool who phones home, it's a huge subplot on its own. I can understand why Spielberg cut it from the original.

FYI, the 2-disc DVD DOES include the original cut.  I'm still considering
buying the 3 disc one, though.
