    Robert Pinsky (who?) he's the former Poet Laureate of the USA
    (what?) anyway, he guest voices as himself as Lisa tries to
    pass herself off as a college student; Bart suffers a bite from
    a rare mosquito and has to live in a bubble

5/19 - DOUBLE FEATURE - NOTE SPECIAL TIMES (because of the final
       episode of "The X-Files" at 8:00)
7:00 - Brawl in the Family (DABF01 - repeat)
    When a game of Monopoly turns into a family brawl, a family
    counselor is assigned to the Simpsons...and just when things are
    back to normal, Homer gets a surprise visit - from his second
    wife (as seen in "Viva Ned Flanders")
7:30 - The Frying Game (DABF16)
    As part of his community service for threatening an endangered
    species, Homer has to take care of an elderly lady, and when she
    dies, he is accused of killing her and threatened with the
    electric chair

5/22 - SPECIAL WEDNESDAY AIRING - SEASON FINALE
       Poppa's Got a Brand New Badge (DABF17)
    Homer causes a citywide blackout, resulting in widespread
    looting - but when Lisa's saxophone is stolen, Homer takes the
    law into his own hands (say, whatever happened to the Springfield
    Cat Burglar, anyway?)

SIMPSONS WIN YET ANOTHER AWARD Okay, it's only a "Kids Choice" award for Favorite Cartoon, but it's the first time in who knows how many years that any show beat "Rugrats". Naturally, since a non-Nickelodeon show won, the award wasn't even given out on the show...and never mind that two Simpsons stars do voices on the two Nickelodeon shows that were nominated (Nancy Cartwright is Chuckie in the newest episodes of "Rugrats"; Dan Castellaneta is Arnold's grandpa on "Hey Arnold!").

Okay, here are a couple of GOOFS/WHATNOT: ----------------------------------------- Was it just me, or did it sound like Maggie saying "Daddy" was different from the original airing of "Lisa's First Word"? Elizabeth Taylor was credited, so I would think they used the original.

Some of the "Special Guest Voices" (the ones I can think of are U2, NSync, Stephen Hawking, and I think Kim Basinger) appeared on the screen, but their voices were not used.

I think this was from "Children of a Lesser Clod (CABF16)." Fittingly, the scene was actually a clip from the family's home movies, which Bart and Lisa strung together to make their father look bad.

I didn't get this one last night, but now I think it might be a reaction shot from "Lard of the Dance (5F20)," after Bart tells Marge he just needs some staplers for the upcoming school year.

Ah hah, I thought the voice sounded different, but just figured I mis-remembered the original.
