My college professor said he is currently writing an episode which he hopes they use someday. What do ya think of it?
Basically, Homer is teleported somehow into different cartoons like Bugs Bunny and other popular cartoons from years ago. I think he mentioned how he wanted Homer to be the guy in charge of ACME all this time. He wouldn't give any more details, but it sounded interesting.
Homer: Acme, ehh?
Ned: Yep. Maude and I have been making some pretty good scratch.
Homer: Scratch,ehh?
Ned: Yep.
Homer: Maude, ehh?
Seriously, thinking about Homer as the man from ACME has me in "stitches". Make sure you post a link when it's done. The odds of getting someone at FOX to look at a script are a bazillion to one, but if he want's to share it with a large amount of Simpson fans, www.simpworks.com is THE place for posting fan fics and getting some insightful feedback on your work.

No, you aren't. It seems like a gimmick without a point to me. If you look at it as an hommage to classic cartoons, then it would fail because they couldn't possibly do them justice... if you look at it as parody... well, I can't see that working either. How do you do a parody of the Roadrunner series? You need something that takes itself a bit more seriously to have effective parody...
Besides, it is one thing to reference Schoolhouse Rock, quite another to feature Bugs himself. One is mocking, the other is just stealing.
