What is the best TV card?

I wanna buy a TV card so can someone tell me what one to buy, and where to buy, so that I can make episodes from a videos (I've got over 250 episodes).

The ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon. It does everything.

Just DON'T use the ATI software. Otherwise you won't be able to watch anything you encode on a computer other than your own.

Try WinTV. It's really good for the price; I made many internet-style movie clips with it.

Ah, the ATI VCR2 codec. I also had problems editing those (I have an All-In-Wonder 128 Pro) because the codec is buggy and will freeze players/editors on certain incomplete frames. I wrote a software app that removes frozen frames from buggy ATI VCR2 files, if anyone would like it. It works pretty well--and it will allow you to use Virtual Dub to recompress, and edit VCR2 files to your heart's content. You _can_ use the files on computers other than your own, if you re-compress them (with something like Virtual Dub). Problem is, to date, VCR2 has that bug that makes .avi files crash editors. (It may be intentional). Great codec, though. It's really great quality--makes small files.
