What in your opinion is the most stupid thing Homer had either done or said. There's two that stick in my mind.
1) The Simpson house is subsiding, they call in a builder, he puts his spirit level on the sloping wall, it whizzes straight off and Homer says "Did you see the bubble?"
2) Homer gets his arms stuck in two vending machines, they are about to saw his arms off because they can't free him any other way when... Rescuer: Homer are you just holding onto the cans Homer: Your point being?

I've always found that many of Homer's best lines actually straddle the line between stupidity and brilliance. Not that one, though.
