Speaking of problems with the newsgroup...can someone tell me why my old messages disappear? I've checked the settings about 12 times in Outlook express, and I can't find a setting that would make my messages expire..and yet they do! All the other messages surrounding my messages seem to be intact (or at least some of them)..
Am I the victim of selective deletionosity?

If you suspect Outlook Express may be the problem, why not look at http://groups.google.com/ on the web? Find the alt.tv.simpsons NG, see if your posts are there. If they are, the problem is at your end. If not, your posts are not getting through.
It all depends on your news server. Most news servers hold messages for almost a month...but some hold them longer. I see messages from you as far back as December 9, the earliest messages I see from anyone are on Dec.8. So your news server seems to be about the same as everyone elses. Keep in mind that you may still see the headers of other peoples messages from farther back, but if you actually click on them you'll find that their messages have actually expired as well.
