Review: For a regular ep, this wasn't bad, but shouldn't the 300th episode have been something special? There were any number of troublesome plot holes. Did the writers forget Marge was once a cop? And how many times has Apu moved in with OFF? Surely he'd let Marge use the washroom. Too many uncomfortable moments and not enough funny. C+

No. Marge's having once been a cop was ignored. You don't shackle yourself to past shows.

The first time Apu moved in with the family was probably 13 seasons ago, which was also the first time we saw Bart in third grade.
