or so, and counting ... of no Simpsons at their regular Sunday night spot. Not even reruns. Baseball, movies, other cr*p, etc instead. Guess Fox has forgotten which program put their Network on the map .. and appear to care less about it's fan as well.

Actually, the program that put the network on most maps is "The NFL on Fox". Fox has NOT forgotten that The Simpsons is one of its most important shows, as it has not moved it into the NFL graveyard that is Sundays from 7 to 8. Just ask any Futurama, or King of the Hill, or Oliver Beene fan - and beginning in November, Malcolm in the Middle fans will get to experience the pleasures of "already in progress".

Besides, it's not as if Fox is going to make fewer episodes of the show because of its late start. (Also, if they thought so badly about the show, why does it have the "right after the Super Bowl" time slot this year?)

Is it right after the Super Bowl this year? I thought American Dad was premiering between the two (plus there is the 1ACX01/AABF08 precedent).

It was caused by poor sales on the Season One set, if that helps.
