ok my memory is hazey of this one....there this episode thats really tripped out..i think homer and marge go to some weird world (or place) and are told they arent allowed to leave? something like that? any ideas?

Sounds like you may be talking about The Computer Wore Menace Shoes...in which Homer gets his own website and is taken prisoner. This ep. is being discussed in the "The Simpsons and the Prisoner" thread right now. Homer is taken captive, but escapes and returns to his family, but then they are all taken captive and told they can never leave. The actually begin to enjoy their new home, except for the constant druggings. Hope that helps.
