How many more seasons left?

I'd give the show two or three, but if anyone has a definite answer, please tell me so I can start making my bootleg videos now instead of later? What do bootleg videos have to do with the number of remaining seasons?

...it's not quite e seasons, and it's not quite pi seasons...but man...so to answer your question, I don't konw. (And neither does anyone else! It's been confirmed for 2 more with 3 movie deals should they choose to, but most likely it will go on longer.)

I'm guessing 4 or 5 more seasons of the original series, but they'll come back with The New Simpsons, Simpsons meet the Jetsons, Simpsons Kids, etc...cartoons have a way of staying around for a long, long time in various forms...

[Shudder] Other spin-offs: "Moe, Moe, Moe," "Lester and Eliza," "Maggie the Simpson," "The Misadventures of Santa's Little Helper and Snowball II," "The Flanderses," "King of the Molepeople" (possible a movie), "Still the Simpsons," "Smithers's Eye for the Queer Guy," and "Survivor: The Simpsons" (who will outlive the others when regular folks like us are shipped to Springfield, a la Grimey?).

Since the Simpsons have remained the only remaining show on public TV that's worth watching (and genuinely humorous), this series should extend indefinitely.

Since the show got re-upped again, I can't see it going anywhere anytime soon. It is Fox's only CONSISTENT hit on Sunday, and it has a fan following the is unrivaled.

If you had to put a number on it, I would say they will go for 400 shows nd probably call it at that. I think Groening wants the record for longest running sitcom.

Really? I remember when it was EVENT TV the first few years, no matter when it was on. Even if it was going up against the #1 show of the day (something starring Bill Cosby.) Eventually (after four years) it retreated to a safer spot on Sundays but it was still had momentum.

Momentum is the only thing keeping it around now, but I stopped watching on a regular basis a couple of years ago. And now, I actively look for something else to watch on Sunday nights, and I'm sure other people have started to as well. What this show needs is for another network to go at it with something fresh, the way NBC put the A-Team against Happy Days in 1982, and put it out of its misery.
