I was thinking about this episode today:
... ... Homer: ...It's out in my garage! Moe: Well ohooh, Mr. laa dee dah "Garage" Home: Why what do you call it? Moe: A car hold. Homer: ahhh .. Homer: Ahh!! A counterfit jeans ring operating out of my car hold!
I think that's how it went....just made me laugh is all
Moe: Oooh....the "garage!" You hear that fellas, the "garage!" Well La-Di-Da Mr. French man...

I would suspect he said "hold" for two reasons:

2) A "hold" in medieval times was a place where weapons, etc. were kept. Hence, Moe is using a very rugged, dark, crude word to describe the place where a car is kept as opposed to Homer's choice.
Ok, you know what? I didn't know this was going to be on of those "horny" "hungry" arguments. Since both words sound exactly the same except for the "d" at the end which some people don't pronounce fully, either of us could be right. You think you heard "hold" for the reason stated above and I think I heard "hole" for the reason I stated earlier. Either of us could be wrong and hear it a million more times and still hear what we heard the first time because that is what we heard the first time and we have reason for thinking that's why it's logical.
I'm sure lots of people think he said "hold" and I know lots of people think he said "hole" because that's how it is in the capsule. So let's not even start an argument about this.

I broke out the videotape, and turned on the closed-captioning, which said "car hole" (not that CC has never been wrong, though). I listened pretty closely to both Moe and Homer, and I honestly cannot hear a "d" on the end.
