Didja see the National Enquirer: Uncovered show today? They reported with a straight face that there will be an X-rated Simpsons movie in which Bart loses his virginity. They say that the Simpsons staff told them this would go into production as soon as the show is discontinued.

I saw it. They did not say it was going to be X-Rated. They said that when the movie is produced, it's going to include a story about Bart losing his virginity to an older woman. And based on the nature of the report it would seem that Dave Mirkin (who isn't exec producer as they said anymore, last I heard in the past four years) has played a trick on them, and on anyone who believed it. If you look at the facts that the show was given, it seems that they took intentionally dubious information a bit too seriously, like when TV Guide believed Mike Scully's testimony that the characters were going to have five fingers starting in the 9th season.

Actually they did say it was gonna be X-rated. That doesn't mean they weren't idiots and/or grossly misinformed.
